HBA Membership Explained
When you join your local Home Builders Association, you also become a member of the Colorado Association of Home Builders and the National Association of Home Builders. By virtue of your membership you strengthen the association capabilities at all levels. There are many additional perks that come with being a member that you and your company can take advantage of.
There’s A Membership That’s Right For You
Builder Members
Builder members are directly involved in building homes. They include small-volume builders, production builders, light commercial builders, and remodelers. Builders join their local home builders association and automatically become members of CAHB and NAHB.
Associate Members
Associate members provide products or services to home builders. They sell lumber, windows, appliances, etc. or offer services such as mortgage finance.
Associate members join though their local home builders association and automatically become members of CAHB and NAHB. Large national suppliers join can NAHB directly through NCHI – The Leading Suppliers of NAHB.
Affiliate Members
The Affiliate member category was designed to reach out to the employees of Builder and Associate members, enabling more industry professionals to reap the rewards of NAHB membership, at a fraction of the cost of a full membership. Only select HBAs offer Affiliate memberships, so please check with your local association for availability.
Major National Suppliers
Leading building suppliers and service providers can participate in NAHB by joining the National Council of the Housing Industry (NCHI) – The Leading Suppliers of NAHB. Membership in NCHI is open to all industry suppliers.
Student Members
Student members study building-related subjects at their high school, vocational school, technical school, community college, or university. Students join their local student chapter and automatically become members of CAHB and NAHB.
